PlayBadminton TAS Academy  -  Head Coach Lasse Bundgaard.


I have more than 25 years of coaching experience from Denmark and Australia and have taken players to three Olympic Games and more than twenty world championships. In my previous roles I worked as Talent Identification Coach, National Head Coach and High Performance Director at Badminton Australia.  

I have been based in Tasmania since early 2019. I am here because I love this part of Australia and because the potential for badminton in Tasmania is outstanding.

My mission with PlayBadmintonTAS Academy is to get many children to play badminton and to help create better pathways for all players.

I have group and individual session's for all levels of players at the Badminton Centre in South Hobart.

The sessions are designed to provide players with a positive experience of badminton through opportunities to have fun, engage with others, learn the technical and tactical skills of badminton and experience success.

Individual Sessions is a great choice if you want to improve your skills and take your game to the next level.

  • 1 or 2 players. 

  • $75 per hour including court hire and shuttles.
